1. State investment in ecological project and in sustainable development is high and it attracts many enterprises in Poland.
In order to fill UE conditions, Polish state invest in ecological and sustainable development projects through infrastructures that is necessary to construct. The most important category is sewage disposal and water treatment. Between 2003 and 2008 the expenditure for this types of project was 18 billion PLN. Incineration is another very important category. In few years there will be from 10 to 11 incinerators build. Every time, the most efficient technologies that includie environmental impact are sought-after. By 2015 30 billion PLN will be invest in those projects. This investments attract many foreign enterprises, with news technologies.
2. Les investments in economy is low.
Generally speaking, enterprises form sustainable development and ecologic sector are more and more present on Polish market but the level of this presence is still low. For individual investors there are three possibilities of investment : directly by financing enterprises, by TFI*an on stock exchange. Since 2009 Index RESPECT publish the socially responsible enterprises rating. One of the criteria is responsibility in terms of ecological behavior.
3. Poles are more and more interested in ecology, but it is still to expensive.
Ecology is to expensive for average household. Concerning the home-building, even if the passive houses are more and more efficient and the technology is more and more accessible, the construction is still 50 to 70% more expensive than the traditional one Concerning ecological cars (hybrid cars even if their ecological character is contestable) running them is about 30% less expensive then ordinary car. However some studies show that after 6 years, the amount spent on credit and running the car is the same for ecological and ordinary car. Public help in financing private ecological investments is very low, it depends on town. Only two banks BOS Bank and Bank BPH offers interesting credits for private ecological investments.
